ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm April,
My journey into horticulture began with a deep appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of the natural world, especially with managing my ADHD. This personal connection to nature led me to pursue a career in horticulture, culminating in rewarding employment with the National Trust. During this time, I had the privilege of cultivating and arranging flowers for display in historic mansions, honing my skills and deepening my passion.
At April's Flower Patch, I specialise in growing a diverse array of unique, chemical-free flowers, all nurtured with natural feeds and sustainable practices. My commitment to the environment is unwavering, and I take pride in offering blooms with a low carbon footprint. Each flower is hand-reared with love and care, ensuring they truly shine.
Beyond providing beautiful bouquets and flower subscriptions, I open my garden to therapy and art groups, sharing the healing power of nature with the community. My mission is to bring joy and well-being through sustainable, lovingly grown flowers, fostering a deeper connection between people and the natural world.
Allow me to introduce Casper, my little white Poochon and faithful companion in the garden. Poochons, are a delightful cross between a Poodle and a Bichon Frise and are known for their affectionate and playful nature.
Casper embodies these traits perfectly, bringing joy and energy to our daily routines. His mischievous streak often leads him to dig up my carefully planted flowers, adding an unpredictable element to my gardening efforts. Despite his antics, Casper's dedication to me is unwavering. He is always by my side, offering companionship and a touch of playful chaos to the serene environment of April's Flower Patch. Together, we share a bond that enriches the garden's atmosphere, blending the tranquillity of nature with the lively spirit of a beloved pet. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of him in one of my videos!
